The 9th Reenactment
Society is a group of non-political enthusiasts of history. We portray
combat soldiers
of the
9th Guards Rifles Division at
public displays and at private reenactments. We are not a communist organization,
nor do we subscribe to the ideas, ideals, goals, or aspirations of any extremist
or far right-wing groups, nor are we affiliated with any such organizations.
For the hobby of reenacting to function, all sides of the
conflict must be represented. As such, we have taken on the role of an elite
Russian formation of World War II. |
World War II was the largest,
most deadly conflict in human history. The effects of that conflict are
still felt today, over 60 years after the last shots
were fired. The cost of victory was staggering, as some 50 million people worldwide
lost their lives. By engaging in living history and reenactments, we hope
to keep the history of this dark period alive, and to help educate what America's
enemies and allies looked like and why Allied victory was such a monumental achievement.
Sadly, many in America today have little to no connection with the past. Our
group, and dozens like it, hope to help folks understand World War II, its
impact, and its relevance to today's events. |

The 9th Reenactment Society now accepts donations to help keep our living history alive. Every dollar counts so please give if you are so inclined. All donations go directly to maintaining our vehicles and equipment so we can get them out to public shows and events. They are VERY expensive to own, operate, and maintain. We very much appreciate your support. Thank You! from The 9th Reenactment Society. |
